I don't know - doesn't serve you!

It is a killer phrase. It's sneaky and it often catches us out when we least expect it. I've said it and realised I didn't even engage my brain to do so, I couldn't even explain it. It taunts us and we let it. "I DON'T KNOW" is a secret killer!

It kills creativity, solutions, the thought process. It undermines our brains and all that is magnificent about us. It takes away our power in three simple words... I don't know.

Now, don't get me wrong... this phrase is easily reframed, redeemed and turned around when a simple "but" is added at the end and if you truly don't know then do say so, however, in, general, this statement is a crippling as they come.

So often "I don't know" is a default for us. We haven't given ourselves a chance. We haven't thought about the answer because the "fits all circumstances and solves none" answer slips out so quickly and easily we don't have time to think.

I encourage you to challenge your use of this phrase and see the miracle that occurs when you actually stop a moment and think.

When you do, suddenly, you will find answers, solutions, information and thoughts and feelings that ensure that you get where you want to go the way you want to get there. It's simple but powerful... take a moment to actually think about your answer. You will feel so much more empowered.

Now if you are struggling to get rid of "I don't know" then try "I don't know but..." and then take a moment to think about your answer, solution, information, thoughts, and feelings. This will help you to process and find options.

If you truly want to step into your magnificence then you need to readjust your relationship with this phrase that truly keeps you stuck.
